Warm Pond

One of Darwin's theories was that of a "warm little pond", a formless soup of molecules and chemical reactions that was the origin of primordial lifeforms. This struck me as an interesting metaphor for queer community in Singapore—nascent, enclosed, but teeming with life. Within this 'pond', I envision dragonfly nymphs encumbered by heavy, ornate wings, finding their home in the world.
